Vikram’s Ambi in Anniyan was a nerd and the stereotypical goody-two shoes. This character suffered from Multiple Personality Disorder and as a result two more personalities resided within. One was the loverboy, Remo and the other was a vigilante named Anniyan who was adept at meting out his own brand of justice. Ambi manages to lose one of his personalities with the help of his lover’s cosmetic aids and pithy dialogue (the technique used is not something one is likely to find in a textbook) but Anniyan proves to be harder to shake off.
