Director Rajesh opted to use the title of a superhit song, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi from his film Siva Manasula Sakthi as the name of his third film. It proved to be a lucky move as OKOK starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hansika and Santhanam went on to emulate the success of both the song as well as the box office success of its predecessors.
