The breezy song in Endhiran, “Kadhal Anukkal” which stole our hearts not only for the music but also for the gorgeous location, filled with lagoons and water logs in between, was shot in Lencois Maranhenses, Brazil. The Lencois Maranhenses National Park is located at the eastern coast of the state of Maranhao and there are several regular bus/truck routes between Barreirinhas and Sao Luis, Brazil. There are air taxis as well to ply from Sao Luis to Barreirinhas. For the park’s safety, access to vehicles is restricted.
