Madhavan might not be doing as many commercials now as compared to his initial years. His best opener in recent times has been Thambi, his action combination with Seeman. It was after quite a while that he was donning a full fledged action role, maybe for the first time after Run and it did work, bringing the audience into theaters. The film went on for a reasonable run at the box office.
