Mysskin’s Yudham Sei was a gritty, hard – hitting film that is characteristic of the director. With Cheran, in the lead, the film follows his investigation into a grisly case involving severed arms while he simultaneously tracks down his missing sister. Yudham Sei got off to a rapid start but took its time making its way to the finish line. In true Mysskin style, the film was disturbing and thought provoking.

Trade talk: The critics were appreciative of Mysskin’s efforts and Yudham Sei managed average collections.

Public opinion: Given the heavy content, people really did not wish a second or third helping but they did take Yudham Sei home with them in their heads.
