Gautham menon’s Nadunisi Naaygal about a serial – killer who is trying to figure out whether he is a romantic at heart or a horny murderer while trying to escape the ravages of a traumatic past is a masterly effort and somehow manages to be sincere despite the director’s occasional nods to the demands of convention. New face Veera made a dazzling debut with his turn as the schizophrenic killer. Sameera Reddy as the damsel in distress also did a neat job.

Trade talk: People expected a Gautham Menon film with romance, Tanglish, and awesome music but they got something entirely different so they were not too pleased.

Public opinion: Love it or hate it there was no denying that the film made an impact.
