Rajinikanth and Sarath Babu were the best of friends in Annamalai before they became the worst of enemies only to reunite in the end. It was a bittersweet film, and the scene when Ashok (Sarath Babu) tells his father moments after he has been brought to his knees by Annamalai (Rajinikanth) that he is proud of his friend brings tears to the eyes. A beautiful look at all that is wonderful about friendship and the need to nurture it without ever taking it for granted.
