Subramaniya Bharathi, also known as Mahakavi proved that the pen was indeed mightier than the sword and his words stirred up patriotism in the country back when we were still under British rule. Sayaji Shinde portrayed him in the film version and the reel Bharathi also did a good job of rekindling dormant patriotism.
