The Yuvan Shankar album that put apna Tamil Nadu into a ‘party’ mood much before December set in, with the tongue-in-cheek number by Mukesh and Priyadarshini! Ilayaraja’s number ‘machan machan’ and the oh-so-unholy(!) ‘nalamdhaana’ added their own weight to the album. Yuvan seems to have fashioned this solely with Silambarasan’s talents in mind and of course the semi-serious nature of the movie. All that was missing here was some finesse in song picturization. Because after the release of the movie, the enthusiasm waned a little.
