This must be one of the most long standing clashes in Kollywood. Two giants in Tamil cinema music, Vairamuthu and Ilayaraja, known to create magic when the former’s pen and the latter’s notes came together. It all started when Vairamuthu made an off the cuff remark about Ilayaraja at a public function. It did not go down well with Ilayaraja and the legend has it that they have never been able to get back on talking terms.
