last big multi-starrer in Tamil cinema was ‘Pithamagan’
and that was nearly 5 years ago. There have been
dual hero subjects on and off, but it has featured
only the lesser lights. Special and guest appearances
are all that we get-and even those are rare. Why
doesn’t Tamil cinema have more multi-starrers?
Some say the heroes are too busy with their individual
projects, some say the dates cannot be coordinated
and some say it is the ego factor. We don’t
know what the real reason is, but the thought
of what one truly big multistarrer can do should
be enough for all problems to be brushed aside.
