Scores
of back up dancers, grand settings and a heroine/item
girl in a special appearance (optional); that
is the general formula for an intro song. But
the most important part is the lyrics. There have
to be lines extolling the hero in question, lines
advising us about some aspect or other of life
(mostly about how to succeed), lines about how
the hero is a guardian angel for the masses and
other lines fit in to adjust to the tunes. Yes,
there are intro songs shot in good taste. But
a line has to be drawn to stop it from becoming
a necessary exercise (mostly uncalled for).
