It all started on July 7th when Kangana Ranaut along with her upcoming film, Judgementall Hai Kya team - Rajkummar Rao and Ekta Kapoor were present at the launch of the Wakhra Swag song held as part of promotions. In the event there was a spat between a journalist, Justin Rao and the actress where he was alleged for running a smear campaign against her due to which her brand was getting harmed. She had even accused him of having gandi soch.
Post which, the Entertainment Journalists Guild Of India decided to boycott Kangana Ranaut until she apologizes for her behaviour. The actress two days later shocked everyone as she put out a video where she condemned the media for targeting her unfairly. She further said that the media persons mainly attend film events only to consume “free food”. Concluding her video, she said that they are doing a big favour on her with the boycott and requested them to ban her.
The actress had sent a legal notice to the Entertainment Journalists’ Guild of India and the Press Club of India for supporting PTI journalist Justin Rao. The notice says that the ban on her should be lifted within 24 hours or else a complaint will be filed. Kangana’s sister cum manager, Rangoli Chandel has posted the entire legal notice. She has further stated that since the Guild members haven’t replied to the notice yet, court will issue summons in their names.
