While actresses from Kerala are looking at Kollywood as a bigger market, actress Padmapriya, who acted in films like Satham Podathe, Thavamai Thavamirundhu, Mirugam, Pokkisham and Pattiyal, has established herself as a top Malayalam actress and is already nearing 50 films.  

In a recent interview, the actress opened up saying that the Tamil industry abandoned her, despite her good works. She feels the Tamil industry has forgotten her, even though she was open to all types of role, including glamour.

However, the actress, apart from the half a dozen Malayalam films she is working on, will be seen in Thanga Meengal, directed by Ram.
