Kutti Revathi is someone who wears many hats. Besides being a qualified Siddha doctor among other things, Revathi has contributed lyrics to Rahman’s latest inspirational tune ‘Nenje Ezhu’ from Dhanush's Maryan. She attributes the success of the tune to the composer and director, Bharath Bala, sharing a creative commonplace and knowing exactly what is required.

This being her first film project, Revathi was required to steer clear of the usual words and clichés. She then penned a lot of verses, as options, for the singer-composer to choose from and the final song has the verses handpicked by Rahman himself.

As a capable screen writer Revathi wants to focus her energy into making films that empower women but won’t be shy of writing a few more songs if she shares a healthy rapport with the director.
