The ban on Vishwaroopam in Malaysia has been lifted and the film is re-releasing in the country. The film released worldwide on 24^th January, including in Malaysia. But the country banned the film the next day in order to prevent any law and order crisis.
 

Following the film's release in Tamil Nadu on 7^th February after facing a number of controversies, it was also expected to release in Malaysia. But the re-release has come a bit delayed.
 

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan has already started his work for the sequel. It has been said that the lead characters will be retained and the story will have India as its background this time.
