Tamil cinema has been the breeding ground for many heroines from all parts of the country. We have seen so many young and beautiful girls make a name for themselves in the Tamil industry and then use it as a springboard for more glory in the more glamorous pastures of the Bollywood industry. This trivia will present you a list of such girls who appeared in just one Tamil film and then for some reason vanished from the industry. Roshini featured opposite the popular Kamal Haasan in Guna in 1991. She was noted for her angelic looks and Kamal’s character in the movie literally worshipped her as ‘Abirami’. The ‘Kanmani Anbodu’ song made Roshini a household face in the state but after Guna, she wasn’t to be seen in any other film though a 1997 Karthik movie titled Sishya featured another girl called Roshni who also had similar features as Roshini.

Maanu made a splash in films with Kadhal Mannan opposite the dashing Ajith Kumar in 1998. The songs in the movie became wildly popular and Maanu was trumped for a long run. But alas, she didn’t act in any film after this Saran movie.

Hello was a popular Prashanth film in the late 90s and Preeti Jhangiani, the lady lead in Hello wasn’t to be seen in Kollywood after this.

Priya Gill was another pretty face who acted in just one Tamil film, Red in 2002 opposite Ajith. The ‘Ollikuchi Odambukaari’ song seemed to be written just for her but the pretty young actress didn’t do any other Tamil film, much to the chagrin of fans.

The most popular of these girls has to be Priyanka Chopra who made her entry into films opposite Vijay in Thamizhan in 2002. After this, she became a mega star in Bollywood thanks to her super looks and acting chops. She was just destined for superstardom in Bollywood thanks to her Miss World title in 2000 and her super model looks.
