Money is the most important thing in today’s
world. A man can be driven to do anything
for his monetary needs. Veerasekaran tells
the story of one such man who is taken into
the world of crime and cruelty, all for
the sake of money. The story begins with
a young man coming to the city for his education.
But, the city drives him to the streets.
With no shelter, he ends up finding refuge
at a place where no living being would like
to be, the cemetery. But, he is soon ameliorated
from his abject poverty and struggle by
a wealthy individual who happens to see
his condition. But, it is not for nothing
that he has been adopted, he is used for
the most brutal things. How it changes his
life and that of others is what Veerasekaran
is all about.
We have seen directors taking to acting,
now we have an art director donning the
grease paint. Veerasamar, who is known for
his work in films like Kadhal and Veyil,
plays the lead in Veerasekaran. Director
Satish (story and screenplay) has said that
even though there is a heroine, the film
does not give much importance to love and
related issues.
Since, a good portion of the story is set
in cemetery grounds; those are the premises
around which the film has been shot as well.
It might well be the first Tamil film that
has a major portion set in a cemetery. |
