Though director Manigai was under pressure to change
the title of the film, he just stuck to his choice of
name, which is ‘Vaada Poda’. The tag line
‘Nanbargal’ sort of gives a feel that the
story may touch upon the world’s most beautiful
relationship: ‘Friendship’. Yes, it is a
story revolving around the relationship between two
friends. The listeners of the movie’s music album
are looking out for a product well framed as well as
the pleasant music.
Nandha of Rajeshlingam’s direction ‘Pugaippadam’
and Sharan of Duet Movies’ ‘Inidhu Inidhu’
don the roles of two good friends and the story travels
through the lovely garden of friendship and camaraderie.
As usual when there are three in the lead cast, a love
triangle is sure to follow, so it is here too.
Yashika, making her debut in Tamil cinema, is a final
year student pursuing her post graduation in Bangalore.
Yashika is the name given for the silver screen. Her
original name is Sindhu. She actually made her debut
in the Kannada film ‘Parichaya’. She has
also acted in a Telugu film Allam Velluli.
The film has music by a new music director Siddarth
from Mumbai. The songs have been well crafted and it’s
an album that is worth listening to.
Arun James has handled the camera. Nizhalgal Ravi and
Srinath play the supportive roles. Friendship is something
which keeps touching every individual somewhere, sometime
in life. Let’s wait for its release on 17 December
2010 and see how well the audience is able to connect
with this binding theme of ‘friendship’. |
