Another
remake hits the screens this
weekend, this time it is a new
version of an old Tamil hit
with the title being retained;
Palaivana Cholai. From information
obtained, there have been changes
in the script to suit the times,
but the basic story remains
unchanged. The plot of unemployed
youth who have nothing better
to do but sit along the roadside
and watch every girl who passes
by is definitely interesting
in a way, even though it has
been used many times before
in Tamil cinema. What happens
when all the guys decide to
fall in love with the same girl?
Who gets her? Is anybody able
to woo her at all or does everything
go in vain? Those who have watched
the original might know the
answer. But we can’t be
sure that the answer is the
same this time too, there could
be differences.
Starring Nithin Sathya, Karthika,
Sanjeev, Chama, Sathyan and
Abhinay in the lead, this movie
promises to be full of youthful
energy. The one factor that
has been retained from the original
is Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu who
has penned the lyrics for all
