Finally, it took a Shahrukh Khan to beat Shankar’s record to produce India’s most expensive movie after Endhiran. Made at a budget of 175 crore, Ra.One is by far the most expensive film starring India’s foremost superstar Shahrukh Khan. The science fiction superhero film is written and directed by Anubhav Sinha and has Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal playing the lead roles.

Given that in Ra.One Tamil superstar Rajini has done a cameo in the movie, SRK seems to have decided to dub and release Ra.One in Tamil. So it is. The movie is releasing alongside the Hindi version in Tamil for Diwali. Ra.One expands to Random Access - Version 1.0 and the title role is supposedly played by Arjun Rampal, who plays the villain. Ra.One also has Shahana Goswami, Dalip Tahil and Chinese-American actor Tom Wu in supporting roles with Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra in cameos other than Rajinikanth himself.

Although the movie was scheduled to be released in the month of June, post-production work seems to have eaten into the time and the movie is releasing for Diwali now. Release is also said to be postponed since the movie had extensive special effects and owing to the 3D conversion. Ra.One is being released in 5,000 screens worldwide and the dubbed versions include Tamil, Telugu and German.
