If you thought the Katradhu Kalavu promotional
posters that appear in newspapers are rather
intriguing, there is a reason behind that.
For the director, Balaji Devi Prasad has
roots in advertising – he has directed
numerous commercials and music videos before
he decided launch himself in big screen.
Katradhu Kalavu is produced by a new banner,
Talking Times Movies, by Pattiyal Sekhar
and Sekhar Kapoor. Krishna and Vijayalakshmi
are cast in the lead roles in Katradhu Kalavu.
The movie is said to be a racy thriller,
about two youngsters, who decide to quit
their wily ways and be good human beings.
But they are not let to live in peace and
are chased for life by a gang. Another gang
is after them, apparently to save their
lives. So the ensuing battle between two
gangs and the two individuals forms the
crux of the movie.
It is also laced with comedy; the director

hastily
mentioning that Karunas plays an important role of that
of Krishna’s friend who gets punished for Krishna’s
offences.
Paul Jacob, the musician, has remixed the age-old ‘Azhagana
Ponnuthan’ number, which is picturised with Mumaith
Khan and Krishna in Gemini circus. The movie’s
race scenes are shot in Rameswaram. The director also
states that Krishna did not use a body double for the
riskiest of the fight scenes and promised them to be
exhilarating.
An all round entertainer, according to the director,
Katradhu Kalavu is to be released over this weekend. |
