movie is about how the characters interpret the
events that are happening around them and the ensuing
decision”.
Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu’s Vishnu plays the lead,
and a ‘full-fledged hero’ according to
the director. The package entails him to dance, do
some stunts and perform comedy – in a wholesome
deal. Piaa is the ‘cheerful, bubbly happy-go-lucky
kind’ of girl. That apart, the movie will also
have many debutants; possibly back from Siddharth’s
advertising days. Significant of them being Gibran,
the SS music VJ and columnist. Amarendran, a new artist
has also played an important role in the first half
of the film. There are a lot of new faces as well
according to the director.
Shot extensively in Pondycherry, Chennai and Puket,
Bale Pandiya is scored by Devan Ekambaram. Although
not unfamiliar with the music scene, Bale Pandiya
will also serve as a launch pad for Devan as a full-fledged
music director. Cinematography is handled by P C
Sreeram’s disciples Soundar and Gurudev. Soundar
has worked with K V Anand and Gurudev has apprenticed
under Jeeva.
Publicity is yet to catch up in the media but is
expected to gear up in the days to come ahead of
the movie’s release. Siddharth’s background
in advertising is expected to provide a certain
niche for the movie’s production values. And
if he manages to maintain the niche in other aspects
of the movie, Bale Pandiya stands a chance at the
box-office.
Bale Pandiya is produced by Kalpathi Agoram brothers
for their AGS Production banner. The movie’s
release date was postponed once and it is expected
to hit the screens this weekend.
