Aintham
Padai- the five men army. The
title suggests a five pronged
force that is set to take on
a common enemy. Aintham Padai
tells the story of a family
of five brothers and the family
to which they belong. A family
that is going along harmoniously,
starts getting volatile when
one of the brothers gets married
and brings home his wife. The
well known and often used daughter-in-law
vs. family feud blows hot and
cold, causing problems in the
life of everyone in the family.

But, it is not just internal affairs that
are in turmoil. Apparently, this family
has also got a long standing feud with another
big and strong family in the village. This
feud too shows no sign of calming down and
women on either side seem to be in no mood
to let matters settle down, they keep fanning
the fire. All these issues put together
form the central plot, giving ample scope
for action, sentiments and comedy.
Sundar C appears as a cinema theater owner
in the film. Produced by Khushboo’s
Avni Cinemax, Aintham padai will be the
first time that Sundar C is starring in
a home production. Newcomer Adithi Chaudhary
will be Sundar C’s heroine in the
film. But, the casting coup of Aintham Padai
is the presence of two heroines who ruled
the roost not too long ago – Simran
and Devayani. Both of them will be seen
in duets along with Sundar C. Suja makes
an appearance in an item number.
The Vivek-Sundar combination has been used
in quite a few films now. Aintham Padai
will see Vivek mouthing dialogues in a characteristic
Tirunelveli accent. Malayalam actor Mukesh
also has an important role in the movie.
Music for Aintham Padai has been scored
by D. Imman and in keeping with the current
trend, a yesteryear hit, “Orampo Rukkumani
vandi varuthu’ has been remixed.
Aintham Padai looks like a trademark Sundar
C style entertainer which will have all
the commercial ingredients. Let’s
hope the five men army wins the box office
battle. |
