With the satellite channels trying their best
to woo viewers, the concept of reality shows
and talent hunt has been gaining much popularity
with the media executives. We now have shows
to crown the best singer, dancer, mimicry artist,
comedian or even commentator. Apart from loads
of goodies as prizes, the chosen few get a chance
to work with the bigwigs of the film industry.
For example, Airtel has announced the plans
for the contest called Super Singer. The lucky
winner would go on to sing for ace music director,
Harris Jayaraj. This is probably the first time
that a leading Tamil music director has been
associated with a talent hunt by providing a
platform for working with him.
