There is an old saying which goes
like this- one who learns from his
mistakes is mediocre but the one who
does it from other’s mistakes
is the most intelligent. Our Tamil
heroes who have a lot of respect for
Andhra's top star Mahesh Babu - were
eagerly waiting for Sainikudu. And
they have watched it along with their
dear and near in Chennai theatres.
Shockingly the movie is a colossal
mishap at the box office according
to the trade pundits.
Now
in addition to Mahesh Babu our heroes
are analyzing the cause and effect applying
it with their movies.
Sainikudu
the Mahesh Babu-Trisha starrer had raised the expectations
of everyone in the industry as it involved all the bigwigs
of the field like Mahesh Babu, Trisha and the director
Guna Sekhar. Despite all the positive factors, this
film is finding it difficult to sustain the cash box
jingling. Analysts point their fingers at various reasons
for this.
Kollywood's
top heroes now have decided to apply the learnt
lessons from Sainikudu. An excessive pre-release
hype always hampers the film. This raises the
bar far too high for the film. When an expectation
is of a mammoth genre, it is only natural that
it may not be able to live it up. The adage,
'higher the expectations, greater the disappointment'
has proved right here. Secondly, story is the
main hero. If it fails, no one can save the
film. It is not the hero or the heroine but
the story and the narration which plays a pivotal
role in the success of any film. Thirdly people
involved in the film should exercise restraint
when they talk about the film to the media.
They should let their work speak for themselves
rather than their tongue.
The
performance of this movie is really an eye opener
for all the Kollywood stars and let us hope
that they would be able to translate this lesson
into a meaningful one in their career.
