Vijay TV’s Independence Day bonanza |

Independence
Day is an occasion to rejoice in our freedom
and to pay homage to all those people who
sacrificed their lives. To mark the greatness
of this day Vijay TV has lined up some special
programmes for its viewers.
The day starts off by honoring Kodi Kaatha
Kumaran in "Manikodiyin Mainthan"
at 7:30am with a thought provoking look at
the life and times of the freedom fighter
- Tirupur Kumaran along with a discussion
and contribution to our freedom struggle with
inputs from some of the present day leaders.
Following this is the humorous debate conducted
by Dindigul Leoni in Premier Leoni Sirappu
Pattimandram at 8:00am; the topic of discussion
is "in the 60 years of independent India
has the standard of living of an Indian family
improved or not?" |

At 9:00am is Idhayam Mantra Koffee with Anu - a
special chat show, where the charming Anu is joined
by "Aachi" Manorama and Chachu; Tamil
cinema's favorite female comedians. Following this
at 10:00am; is a special episode of the rib-tickling
comedy show, Hutch Kalaka Povadhu Champions 3 as
the winners of Season 3 perform some of their best
acts. At 11 am watch the Jalsa - Chennai 600 028
artists' team up to celebrate the success of their
latest film in a grand and gala manner in "Vasanth
& Co Saroja Saamaanikalo".
At 1:00pm watch "Ethu Sudandiram"; a show
in which many questions like "Do reality show
cross their lines? Do students need to sacrifice
their talents for the sake of studies?" will
be discussed as the citizens of Independent India
voice their opinions peppered with celebrity guests. |

Tune in at 2:00pm to witness the celebration of
the hit movie in Mozhi; "Mozhi 100" as
producer Prakash Raj and Director Radha Mohan are
joined by the other Kollywood stars in the celebrations.
Following this, at 3.00pm will be the curtain raiser
of the to be released film "Pallikoodam";
directed and acted by Tankar Bachaan, with a sneak
peek on the behind the scenes during the making
of the film. At 4pm; its time for the stars to descend
in Vijay Awards - a star-studded award show where
the viewers chose their favorite stars; which witnessed
some ravishing performances by Yana Gupta, Priyamani,
and Lakshmi Rai. At 7:30pm watch the making of Vasanth's
latest film "Satham Podathey" starring
Prithviraj and Padmapriya.
With India celebrating the 60th Independence Day;
celebrate the spirit of freedom with Vijay's special
line up of programmes on August 15, 2007. |
