Director Perarasu was seen recently at a charitable event in Erode where he presented 250 needy children with free notebooks and other stationery items. Later while talking to journos, he said that it took him fifteen years to get a foothold in the industry and even then it was thanks only to Vijay who agreed to do Thirupaachi with a debuatant director. Perarasu said that Vijay had not merely given him an opportunity but the gift of life!
The director is currently working on Thiruthani with Bharath with whom he has already made Palani and is hoping the film will have a Diwali release. After that he will be making a film called Sivagangai.
