Director Siddique, who had directed
the Malayalam film Bodyguard with Dileep
and Nayan in the lead roles, is remaking
the film in Tamil under the title Kavalan.
For the Tamil version he had roped in
Vijay and Asin and the film is almost
nearing completion.
Speaking about Kavalan, the director
said that he had made adequate changes
to the original script to ensure that
the role befitted Vijay. Siddique pointed
out that Vijay had a different target
audience and hence certain changes to
the script became inevitable.
Likewise, he added, Dileep will not fit
in Vijay’s role in Kavalan. Both Bodyguard
and Kavalan have been made for the respective
actors he said.
