The birth centenary of Sangeetha Bhushanam,
Sri M.D. Parthasarathy, fondly known as
M.D.P., falls this year and his family
has decided to commemorate this occasion
by releasing a souvenir and a CD comprising
his song compositions on September 25th,
2010 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan at 6:00
pm.
M.D.P., was a music director at Gemini
Studios, actor in films and stage plays
and later Light Music Producer in All
India Radio. He has given various hits
like Nandanar, Chakradari, Avvaiyar, Mangamma
Sabadam, Apporva Sagodarargal, Chandralekha.
He also excelled as an actor in various
films like Garuda Garva Bangam, Sethu
Bhandanam, Draupathi Vastrapaharanam and
stage dramas like Kabirdas, Tulsidas,
Thukaram etc.
