Late
Angamuthu was the president of the Film Art
Directors’ Association for eight years and
served as the secretary for 14 years. He was
also a member of the Upper House in the State
and designed the flag for the MGR ADMK Party.
Having been associated with the film industry
for long, Angamuthu was a distinguished personality
and commanded everyone’s respect. In an effort
to recognize his work towards the film industry,
it was decided to unveil his portrait at the
Film Art Directors’ association office. The
FEFSI Chief V.C. Guhanathan inaugurated this
portrait. Further, he inaugurated the portrait
of late Rajendran, who had served as the Vice-President
of the Association.
The family members of Angamuthu and Rajendran
also received a grant of Rs. 1.5 lakhs from
the Union.
The PRO Union’s President Vijaya Murali,
Film Art Directors’ association secretary
Rama Durai and Treasurer Magi were also present
during this event.
