The South Scope Film
awards will be held in Hyderabad on September
19, 2010. The awards, organized by the film
magazine South Scope, will be hosted by
actress Shriya Saran and Shaam at HICC,
Hyderabad. This was announced by actress
Kushboo, who is one of the guests of the
event, at a press conference held on Tuesday
the 7th September. Awards will be given
to both critically acclaimed and commercially
successful films in 11 categories including
best actor, actress, film, director, music
director, supporting actor, singer, comedian,
lyricist, debut and cinematographer. A lifetime
achievement award will also be given away.
Movies of 2009, Nadodigal, Pasanga, Kanchivaram,
and Naan Kadavul have been nominated in
the Best Film category. The audience will
also get an opportunity to vote from their
mobile phones when voting opens on September
9th. The award ceremony will be attended
by all leading stars of the film fraternity.
Actresses Samantha and Piaa, publisher Srinivasa
Moorthy and Vishnuvardhan and the producer
of the event were present at the press meet
along with Kushboo.
