Directors Pushkar and
Gayathri initially announced their project
as Quarter Cutting drawing the attention
of many. The Tamil Nadu Government had announced
tax sops for films with Tamil names and
everyone wondered if the director couple
would forego that.
Finally, it emerged that they wanted
the name to be popular among the movie
buffs before changing it to Va. So why
did Va replace the earlier title? It has
now become clear that Va is the Tamil
word for ¼ or Quarter Cutting.
