After the phenomenal
success of Avatar and the more recent Alice
in Wonderland, 3D is the in-thing in Hollywood.
After Avatar, James Cameron has confirmed
the re-release of Titanic, this time in
3D. James has planned to release this version
in the summer of 2012 (April 15), to commemorate
the 100th anniversary of the sinking of
the gigantic ship. Thanks to computer technology,
3D effects can be added to films shot without
the use of 3D-specific cameras like he used
for Avatar.
"We're targeting spring of 2012
for the release (of a 3D version of Titanic),
which is the 100-year anniversary of the
sailing of the ship", said James
in a recent interview. It will be fascinating
to see how Titanic looks with an added
dimension.
