The release of Aadhavan and Vettaikaran
seems to have created a ‘clash
of the titans’ scenario in
Tamil Nadu. Aadhavan is produced
by Udhayanidhi Stalin for his Red
Giant movies, the distribution rights
of which are with Kalaignar TV.
Rightly so, Kalaignar TV is leaving
no stones unturned in publicizing
the movie and the promos have already
gone on air.
On the other hand, Vettaikaran,
produced by AVM is sold to SUN TV.
Given the aggressive marketing strategies
adopted by the SUN network in recent
times to promote their movies, it’s
easy to say that Vettaikaran will
enjoy the same privilege. However,
SUN hasn’t started airing
the promos as yet on air but it
won’t be too long until the
promos are on.
Speaking of this, more than the
performance of the movies at the
box office, it would be interesting
to watch the belligerent strategies
adopted by two major television
networks to promote their movies.
