The Tamil Nadu government has announced
the Film Awards for the year 2007-2008
on Monday.
Superstar Rajnikanth bags the Best
actor award for his performance
in Sivaji. The film also bagged
the best film award for the year
2007. The best actor award for the
year 2008 was awarded to Dr Kamal
Haasan for Dasavatharam which also
bagged the best film award for 2008.
The Best actress award for the
year 2007 went to Jyothika for Mozhi
and Sneha bags the same for her
performance in Pirivom Sandippom
for 2008.
Mozhi won the second prize under
the best film category for the year
2007 and the third place went to
Pallikoodam and director Thankar
Bachchan (Pallikoodam) bagged the
best director award.
Under the special category, the
award was pocked by Periyar for
the year 2007. Sathyaraj got special
prize for the same film and actress
Padmapriya bagged the special prize
for her role in Mirugam.
In the special prize category for
actors, Suriya (Vaaranam Aayiram)
and Trisha (Abhiyum Naanum) were
picked for the year 2008.
Best male comedian award for the
year 2007 went to Vivek and for
the year 2008 the same went to Vadivelu.
