Thambivudayan, a film supposedly
made on the Cauvery issue, was denied
certification by the Censor Board
a few days ago. The same happened
when the film was sent again for
re-censor. The Censor Board officials
took cognizance to the fact that
the word Cauvery has been used throughout
the film and this could rake up
political unrest in the state. The
officials made it clear to Thambivudayan’s
director Raja Mahesh to make the
necessary changes in this regard.
Finally heeding to their orders,
the director decided to cut down
seven scenes and make changes in
43 places. Finally, Thambivudayan
has been certified with a U/A certificate.
