Director
of the recently released film Dhanam,
G. Siva, has said that he has been receiving
threatening phone calls. According to
the director, a few mischief mongers
have threatened to end his life for
portraying the Brahmin community in
bad light. Siva said that his intention
was not to hurt the sentiments of the
Brahmin community but to bring to light
the predicaments
of those who believe in astrology. He added
that plans are afoot to exhibit Dhanam to
senior political leaders including the Tamil
Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.
