The Film festival of Tamil Nadu (Intl.)
was inaugurated in Chennai on Wednesday.
Director Mysskin and famous writer

journalist Mr. Charu Nivedita were the
guests of honour. Speaking on the occasion,
Mysskin was candid about his views on
Tamil cinema. He expressed grief over
the downtrend seen in Tamil cinema. He
added that movies which get released lack
in quality. Speaking about his movies
Anjathey and Chithiram Pesuthadi, he candidly
admitted that both movies were not upto
the standard as he was compelled to add
'Kuthu songs' to appeal to the masses.
Asked about what contributes to good cinema,
he said that he cannot explain about good
scripts all the time. ‘Writer’
Charu Nivedita also spoke on the occasion
and praised efforts of the organisers
in conduction the fest for the 7th consecutive
year. Short films and feature films from
countries like Austria, Germany, Poland
and Hungary are being projected to the
audience.
