Art director Ramki,
who has worked in more than 30 films including
hits like Periyanna, Dum, Thiruda Thirudi
and Bagavathi, is directing his first film
which has been titled "Naanum en Kaadhalum".
The movie is about how people misinterpret
astrology, hard work and faith on God in
their lives. Though the story is based in
Chennai, Ramki decided to shoot the climax
of the movie in Tiruttani. The director
had to wait for months for getting approval
to shoot the movie in the renowned temple.
This is the first time in 18 years that
permission has been given to shoot a movie
in the temple premises.
Naanum en Kaadhalum will have newcomers
Anand and Swathi in lead roles. The stunt
sequences will be a treat to watch, says
the director. He also said that he has avoided
graphics in the movie's songs and decided
to shoot in flower fields for a song sequence.
Music has been scored by Maria Manohar who
has taken 30 days for the film's re-recording
alone. Actor Vijay's mother Shoba Chandrasekar
has sung a song in the movie.
