Ochayee is an upcoming
movie which is produced by Dravia Pandian.
This movie will have newcomers Daya and
Thamarai in lead roles and directed by Asaithambi.
The shooting of the movie was held in Usilampatti
recently. There is a scene in the movie
where the father of the hero, actor Rajesh,
is supposed to slap his son, Daya, for his
errant behavior. To make this scene realistic,
the director asked Rajesh to give a 'real'
slap to Daya. And to capture the scene in
varying emotions, the director asked for
many takes of the same.
So Daya had to get slapped for almost half
a day of shooting. But the unit was very
happy with the outcome. Actor Rajesh, who
acts as Periyamayan, stayed with the villagers
for a month to study their language and
behavior and has delivered a sterling performance,
according to sources. Ochayee also has Ganja
Karuppu, Shakila and Santhana Bharathi among
others and is slated for a release on October
15.
