Looks like Namitha’s fantasy
visual graphics flick Jaganmohini
has run into a roadblock foiling
its Diwali release plans. Producer
A L Azhagappan has lodged a complaint
against Jaganmohini’s producer
Murali for pending dues amounting
to Rs. 12 lakh. Azhagappan has even
managed to obtain a stay order for
the movie’s release until
October 15, 2009, few days after
Diwali.
Jaganmohini is reportedly a remake
of the yesteryear spooky comedy
of the same name with Namitha and
Nila playing the lead roles. Incidentally,
the movie is also said to be Nila’s
last movie.
It is also learnt that Sa Bu Thri,
another movie which is supposed
to be released on Diwali is also
refraining from the race for reasons
unknown. With this, Aadhavan and
Peraanmai will be the sole contenders
for the top spot this Diwali weekend.
Peraanmai is releasing on Friday
while Aadhavan on the Diwali day,
October 17th.
