not just Kuruvi - all the films that had
bad reviews and little collection are doing
100 days. My question to you is: "whom
are they trying to convince or what are
they trying to prove from this"?
Nowadays even a blockbuster movie cannot
run for 100 days because of the availability
of pirated DVDs; also there are lot of websites
from where the movies are available free
of cost. I don't say that people are not
watching movies in the theatre. I am sure
that if the movie gets good reviews, then
people come to theatres and watch it. And
if the movie does not get good reviews,
they don't want to waste their money - hence
they download it from these sites. Even
I was able to watch some of the directors
struggling to speak at that function. They
didn't know what to say.
Even Chandramukhi ran for 700 odd days just
because they wanted to set a record. Does
Tamil cinema have some political influence
off screen?
Thank you
