Government’s decision on Diwali releases

The Tamil Nadu government has announced that all the theatres in the state will be allowed to screen a maximum of five shows on October 28, 29, 30 and 31 in view of Diwali festival. In the press note issued by the President of the Tamil Nadu Film Theatres Association, Mr. Paneerselvam had mentioned that all the mobile theatres in the state

will be allowed a noon show from 28th November to 31st October.

The mobile theatres can screen a morning show on October 27 and November 1 and 2 as it happens to be a government holiday, says the press note. The District Collectors and Entertainment Tax authorities have been notified of the developments.
