Director Sridhar passes away

Veteran director Sridhar who directed the most-celebrated romantic classics in Tamil cinema passed away today at his Chennai residence. Sridhar was confined to wheel chair for quite some time now after suffering a paralytic attack that rendered him inoperative. His family was with him when the end came, one of the family members was quoted as saying in Chennai.

Sridhar is the one of the most successful directors of his era and has immortalized movies like Vennira Aadai, Kalyana Parisu, Kadhalikka Neramillai and Kalyana Parisu with his masterpiece direction. Well known for his niche in romantic movies, Sridhar is also considered to be one of the best storytellers of Indian cinema.
