Another protest by the film fraternity

Condemning the attack of Tamils in Sri Lanka by the army, the Tamil fraternity will join hands to express their solidarity in this issue. The actors, actresses, directors, producers and technicians have also resolved to wear a black badge protesting the attack.

According to Bharathiraja, a

procession and meeting will be held on October 19th at Rameswaram in which all those associated with the Tamil film industry will participate. He said elaborate transportation arrangements have been made. He added that a special train will leave Chennai on October 18th and several buses have also been booked.

Some of the issues that will be stressed in the meeting are: Union Government's intervention to sort out the issue and to stop all assistance offered by the Union Government to the Sri Lankan army.
