Diwali race tightens – Ajith to lead?

Looks like Ajith’s Aegan and Bharath’s Seval will be the lone contenders for the Diwali race. With Varanam Ayiram showing signs of backing off, news has it that Madhavan’s Guru En Aalu will also be pulled back from the Diwali race to be released only in November. Although no reason has been quoted for the delay in release, it is widely

speculated that lack of theatres for release is among the prominent reasons. It could be noted that an overwhelming number of theatres in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu have been reserved for Aegan.

Earlier Silambarasan’s Silambattam and Dhanush’s Padikkathavan were also speculated to release for Diwali. However, both these movies showed no hurry and are still under post-production safely excluding themselves from the race.
