Ponnu has been running for some time
now on the small screen. Napoleon has
been the hero of the serial –
until now! Napoleon shocked viewers
and Kalaignar TV when he announced that
he was dropping out as hero.
His reason? His differences with
Bharathiraja
on a particular issue – that of his
character in the serial. Napoleon said that
director Raja is being too influenced by others
who keeps asking him to change the nature
of the characters on the serial. He has changes
several characters, and Napoleon’s character
too has had to face changes. Napoleon’s
feeling was that his character was turning
more and more into a dummy character.
