Ilayaraja will soon create a symphony
of Naalaayira Divya Prabandham. This
was announced during the release of
the printed version of the Naalaayira
Divya Prabandham recently. These divine
poems were composed by the Azhwars during
the eighth century but they were complied
some 200 years later.
Our sources have it that the symphony is scheduled
to be released during the Margazhi Music Festival.
Ilayaraja had composed Thiruvasagam in 2005
and was performed by the Budapest Symphony
Orchestra while his first symphony was in
1993 by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
