Gautham Menon is aware of the talks that he gets inspired from international films while making his movies, as he himself admitted in a recent interview. But he completely rubbishes these allegations saying that he has not even watched the legendary Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa’s films.
It seems Mani Ratnam’s Mouna Raagam and Alaipayuthe are his all time favourite romantic tales. He claims that he can make 15 more romantic films with just one song, ‘Yevano Oruvan Vasikkiran’ from Alaipayuthe, as his inspiration. His own realizations and experiences take form as films, says the director of Neethane En Ponvasantham.
NEP, starring Jiiva and Samantha is all set to release on December 14th. Santhanam too has an important role to play in the film. The Telugu version of the film, Yeto Vellipoyinte Manasu will have Nani instead of Jiiva, opposite Samantha.
